This song showed my experimental attempt at music. It is difficult to define since it was dominated by concepts and took melody as a secondary concern. Through the processing of lyrics and vocal tract changes, the multi-faceted state of a person is expressed. It may be extreme or opposite, but everyone has the balance to maintain themselves in these different states, which we may call the essence. The name of the song is “Plain Noodles”, which is derived from the Chinese “One Bowl of Yangchun Noodles”. The essence of “Yangchun Noodles” will not change because of the different toppings.
